The VIII International Liszt Ferenc Competition Malaysia Preliminary Round is open to all nationalities.

The category of each participant is determined by their age just before the date of the Final Round of the competition (TBA).

Participants may take part in a live performance at Dominus Arts Venue, Kuala Lumpur, or via online video submission for the Preliminary Round.

Top winners receiving Gold and Silver awards are eligible to participate in the Final Round of The VIII International Liszt Ferenc Competition, scheduled to take place in Budapest, Hungary (TBA). On the day of the Preliminary Round, recipients of Gold and Silver awards will be presented with a Letter of Invitation to compete in the Final Round.
