Marcq-en-Baroeul, one of only 4 towns in France with an international school, has supported the Pianissima International competition since its inception.
The competition was created in 2014, and Denis Simándy, who is also Artistic Director of the Clef de Soleil Festival, took over as director in 2019.
Categories:
1st category up to the age of 12: non troppo, Calendo, Largo and Larghetto
2nd category up to the age of 18: Adagio, Moderato, Andante and Andantino
3rd category up to 28 years: Allegro and Presto
4th category (no age limit) : Prestissimo (pre-professional)
5th category: Adult amateurs
6th category: 4-hand (no age limit)

Prestissimo and Adults: €70

3rd category Allegro level: €250
3rd category Presto level: €500
4th category Prestissimo level (pre-professionals): €2,000 and participation in a public performance at the Clef de Soleil Festival
5th and 6th categories: a season ticket for the Lille Clef de Soleil Festival.
