The eighth International Piano Competition NEUE STERNE will take place in Wernigerode. The Kreismusikschule Harz and the Konzerthaus Liebfrauen provide the stage for outstanding pianists from all over the world.

The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities and ages.

First Round/ April 9th – District Music School Harz

Second Round/ April 10th – Liebfrauen Concert Hall

Semifinals/ April 11th – Liebfrauen Concert Hall

Finals/ April 13th – Liebfrauen Concert Hall

Finalist Concerts/ April 14th

Four prize winners’ concerts with the finalists:
Fourth prize winners’ concert – Ritterhaus Quedlinburg
Third prize winners’ concert – Ilsenburg Monastery
Second prize winners’ concert – Mönchehaus Museum Goslar
First prize winners’ concert – Halberstadt council chamber

Prizes & Awards:

1st prize: 10,000.00 € and diploma, plus 1,000 € for the winners’ concert on April 14, 2024.
2nd prize: 5.000,00 € and diploma, as well as 500 € for the winner’s concert on April 14, 2024
3rd prize: 3.000,00 € and diploma, as well as 500 € for the winner’s concert on April 14, 2024
4th prize: 1.000,00 € and diploma, as well as 500 € for the winner’s concert on April 14th 2024
