4th Lied Academy for singers and pianists – IPASA, Czech Republic

Experience the unique atmosphere of Prague and the 4th edition of our Lied Academy. Lessons will be held at the prestigious HAMU – Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Music and Dance Faculty), with concerts taking place in the stunning Baroque Refectory of Professed House.
The Lied Academy warmly welcomes participants of all nationalities who are at least 18 years of age.
The course is designed for a maximum 16 participants (8 pianists and 8 singers) and maximum 12 auditors.
Duos (singers and pianists), and also welcomes applications from solo pianists and singers who are in search of a performing partner during the course of the Academy.
The special prize that will be awarded following the Final Concert of Participants:
- Gustav Mahler Festival Prize – with performance at Mahler Jihlava 2027 Concert Prize
*Eligibility for “Gustav Mahler Festival Prize”: participants must include at least one piece by Gustav Mahler in their programme
Tuition Fees:
Early bird (June 1st, 2026): €750
Full Fee (July 15th, 2026): €900
The fee includes:
- 12 lessons with all tutors: 4 with Birgid Steinberger, 4 with Ralf Heiber, 4 with Giuseppe Ravì.
- Professional video recording of performance at the Final Concert of Participants.
- Professional portrait photos.
- Accommodation for 5 nights (24.8. – 28.8.) in beautiful double rooms
- Three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner / after-concert parties)
- Free entrance to all concerts during the Lied Academy
