Pianists of any nationality may participate in the competition, without age limit.

1st Round: June 21st to June 27th/ video recordings/ Results: June 29th
August 7th/ Opening concert and inaugural ceremony
2nd Round/August 8th to August 10th
Semi-final/ August 11th
Final/August 12th (maximum 8 participants)
August 13th/ Rehearsal with the Galician Symphony Orchestra
Grand Final/ August 15th/ with the Galician Symphony Orchestra (3 participants)

For the live rounds in Vigo/ €100
Prizes:
1st Prize “SHIGERU KAWAI”
- €18,000 and diploma, divided as follows:
- €6,000 in cash and diploma.
- A concert tour in Spain as soloist, and 2 concerts with the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, for which the participant will receive a total minimum amount of €12,000.
2nd Prize “DOS ACORDES”
- €3,000 and diploma.
3rd Prize“JUAN MONTES”
- €1,500 and diploma.
4th Prize, 5th Prize, 6th Prize: Diplomas

“PEPITO ARRIOLA” PRIZE – Best galician pianist
- €200 and diploma.
“CRISÓSTOMO ARRIAGA” PRIZE – Best participant under 20 years old

SPECIAL PUBLIC PRIZE “MARTÍN CÓDAX” – Most voted participant in the final
- Diploma.
“BACH” PRIZE – Best performance of a work by J. S. Bach
- €200 and diploma.
“MARCIAL DEL ADALID” PRIZE – Best performance of a work by a spanish composer
- €200 and diploma.
“ANDRÉS GAOS” PRIZE – Best performance of a work by a Galician composer (non-compulsory piece): Andrés Gaos, and the required piece is “Novos Aires Galegos”

“ROSALÍA DE CASTRO” PRIZE – Best performance of a work by a female composer
