There are three categories – Solo, Duo & Duet and Concerto. The new ‘Concerto’ category is added to cater to an even wider variety of piano music and piano repertoire. The WPTA Finland IPC seeks to redefine ‘piano competition’ by providing greater accessibility to all pianists around the world to showcase their musical abilities in a low
stress environment while having equal opportunities to be recognized and receive unbiased feedback of their playing on a global platform. The auditioning process is unique as participants will send us their recordings as web-posted links. In this way, there is no traveling required and participants all over the world can be assessed fairly.
Selected prize winners will be presented partial to full scholarships to attend music festivals, masterclasses, competitions and/or performances around the world. Some of our collaborating partners and festivals:
